Christmas and Diet
It so difficult to stick to any diet at Christmas and this year was no exception, so i've decided to use it productively, while i have the chance.
I added back all of my triggers to my diet, but still on a pureed diet and the only one i was ok with was chocolate. everything else has swelled me up and so i am in a flare up.
I had put chocolate back into my diet a couple of months ago and found out i was ok with it as long as it didn't have any may contains of the other triggers i had listed in my last post.
I suspect Soya as another trigger, but i still need to test this more.
And so, i have swollen knees and my rashes are back. Its also amazing how quickly these triggers can cause a flare up on even just a small amount, i will have a blood test this week to see what the inflammation levels are like. but last time after 8 months of strict diet my inflammation levels went down from 72 to 42, they have never done this before.
so it will be interesting to see what they go back up to. i feel like i have a hangover without any alcohol, i stay away from it in general, because it causes a two week flare up, but not only that it can have effects with strong pain killers i am on.
But anyways, once i have blood test results i shall let you know what the levels are and then back to strict diet again. i know my body will thank me for it, i can feel its really not happy with me, swellings nodules and rashes are back, oh and the dreaded fatigue.
So lesson learned and next year i will have to find ways to stick to diet and puree all food in advance, i'm getting better at it thank goodness. i love making soups in my vitamix too, it makes them really smooth :)
Anyways a short post this time, but hopefully i can share more with you next time.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas or a Happy holiday and enjoyed your celebrations.
take good care and let me know how you managed with the holidays and diets :)
